History

The company history actually dates back to 1919, when the first Hendriksen in Amsterdam at Haarlemmerdijk 6 started sales in fashion. Later, in the 1920s, the true predecessors of TailorTies were engaged in manufacturing ties, scarves and other fashion accessories.

In those days, the A.D.I. (Amsterdamse Dassen Industrie), and later the NV Zijdeweverij Hendriksen, were active and reliable manufacturers, with customers throughout Europe.

The "Cravat Club" shops were also a household word and trendsetter in the Netherlands until the end of the past century.

But markets and fashion are constantly changing, which is also true for companies. TailorTies is our new name and new approach, but our employees in our design studio, sales and in manufacturing companies still remain the real specialists.
